how hard is it to find a 22x7.5 rim? does anyone have concerns with altering the suspension geometry or adding unnecessary weight to their wheels?

FYI - The bolt pattern is 5x114. Offset is 35mm. OEM wheel is 7.5" wide.
The bolt pattern determines if the wheel will fit or not.
The offset is how far the middle of the wheel is offset relative to the hub. The smaller the number, the closer to the middle the hub it will get, the farther apart will the wheels be, the more they will stand-out. Swaying away from this number will change the suspension geometry (bad!). The only reason to go to a smaller number is if the tires are too wide to fit. 255mm will fit just fine.
You can certainly get a wider rim. It would allow for less sidewall play. 8" is just dandy.
All of aftermarket wheels will come with plastic centering rights. They are only there so that the wheel can be mounted straight. After that, they do not do anything.

Why get the same size though? Why not get something bigger?

No, i bought the rims from Discount Tire Direct and then used my 18" tires on them. The new rims were 1/2 inch wider than the factory rims but the original tires compensated for that. Lexus dealer charged me $100 to remove the old rims and TPMS and install on new rims and initialize the tpms. overall a great experience and not one decrease in ride quality. DTD was very easy to work with
