Does anyone has "Crank Position Sensor" problem? Should I acclaim Lemon?

One month ago, I had "Check Engine" light on with "TRAC OFF" and "Check AWD System" messages on the daskboard in my 400 miles 2012 RX 350. Brought it to the dealer, they fixed it in two days, and told me it was due to "Crank Position" Sensor (Error code P0335).

Last week I drove my daughter to Philadeliphia for her summer intern. The Check Engine light turned on again just after I left the house. Called dealer. Dealer was nice to give me a loaner car. My car is still in the dealer's shop, and now I start to worry. Does anyone has this problem? Should I acclaim Lemon before it's too late?

Nope, haven't had that problem, nor concerns with a Lemon. You should have received with your manuals a book detailing Lemon Law in your state, review it. I might suggest documenting every conversation you have with anyone. Date, time, location, with whom, and what said. Keep copies of everything. Sorry if I'm telling you what you may already know. Thank you, David. The Lemon Law in Maryland actually is quite favor to consumers.

Per Maryland Attorney General's suggestion, "If you suspect your car is a lemon -- for example, if the dealer has tried once or twice unsuccessfully to repair the problem and you believe the problem substantially impairs the use and market value of the vehicle -- you should write to the manufacturer immediately. You do not need to wait until the dealer has made the four repair attempts, or until the car has been out of service for 30 days."

Howard, it's not a fun process. Been there, done that. I would work with your dealer and Lexus to resolve the issue first and only pursue lemon law if they do not fix it and/or the problem persists. It could have been a defective part. I've had that happen to me before too. Good luck.

Of course. I am more interested in getting the car fixed than into an unpleasant Lemon process. Bottom line - Lexus needs to figure out what exact the problem is, and fix it. As I know, dealer is working with Toyota.

Update - Dealer found that the new replaced Crank Position Sensor one month ago was bad for whatever reasons. Though the possibility is very low, but it happened (to me). Hope this is the last.
