Default Best Average MPG Since Last Fill Up

Per the multi-information display for average MPG since last fill up, the best I could achieve is 26 MPG on my RX350 without carrying any passenger or cargo, and also with the A/C compressor turned off from the nav climate control screen. Did any other RX350 owners achieve higher average MPG?

For a non-hybrid, that is excellent. Sort of like what I got on trips in my 2003 RX. How many miles was that reading for and what were the driving conditions if you don't mind?

Good driving habits too I suspect

I fill up using 87 octane and usually get about 270 miles off a tank. I'm not doing any highway miles I only work about 7 miles from my home.

Actual results from a 10,100 mi trip this summer over a two month period gave an average of 24.3 mpg (combo of premium and regular fuel). Best period was 25.2 mpg which covered about 2,000 miles at freeway speeds up to 80 mph in West Texas. Two people and enough 'stuff' for two months on the road.

Not too shabby. I've been experiencing 21.1 mpg on 50/50 mixed driving. I was going to go hybrid but after doing to the math it would have taken me 8+ years of ownership to break even on the cost differential between the two (assuming no change in habits) and that didn't make sense in my situation. I have a 500 mile 90% highway trip coming up tomorrow so will be curious as to what that turns out to be like.

How do you get your readout to show dates? Mine only shows minutes.

I think you just click on "Consumption" in the lower left corner and that toggles it.

Been driving my 2012 for about 6 weeks now; done around 1600km (in Canada). The best mileage I've had out of it is about 350km/tank - it's really pathetic. It's in eco mode most of the time as well. I do mostly city driving, but still don't think it should be this bad. I'll be taking it into the dealer soon for it's first checkup, is there anything they can do?
