RX350 Limited inventory?
My Lexus dealer is telling me that their supply of RX 350 for leasing is very limited now due to Japanese lack of production. I wanted to lease another RX in July. Is the inventory limited everywhere or is it just to make me pull a trigger right now? This is a dealership in the NYC area.

Shouldn't be. RX350s are made in Canada. May be some parts are from Japan. Just bought the 450h two weeks ago. That's made in Japan and really low in inventory. But it all depends on the colors and options choices. Plenty of dealers around here. Good luck!

There is a plethora of Lexus dealers in the tri-state area. Definitely look around and I'll take a peek at what my dealer has when I'm there on Saturday for service.

There is a very low inventory here in AZ. The dealer by me, their lot is almost empty. They expect the inventory to pick up in a month or so and aren't expecting the 12's until Nov.

Limited inventory for choice of trim and colors. Very few new cars are coming off the assembly lines as not all parts are in stock. Whatever is out in dealer lots, distribution lots, etc is still available. In Toronto, getting a Touring package in choice of color is almost impossible. Some Premium I and Premium II still available.

OK, just returned from the dealer after service. The sales guy I spoke to (not my regular one, my guy is on vacation) said the factory is operating at about 50%. Right now they have RXs with nav in tungsten pearl, starfire pearl, matador red and stargazer black. More are coming in soon, they find out later next week. Dealer swap is possible. They have another Lexus dealer nearby. I forgot to ask about when the '12s are coming out.
BTW they're doing 2.9% APR up to 60 months and $1,000 for current Lexus owners. All in all, not a bad deal if anyone is in the market and not super duper picky like me

Just pickup a 2011 rx 350 yesterday here in md they only like maybe 4 rxs on the lot total and 2 with nav. They said its gonna be a while before they get more they have been doing a lot of ds (dealer swapping) to sell . Somebody wanted the one I was looking at at another dealer but I pulled the trigger first.

New Here!
When I was shopping in June for an RX 350 I was told that most Lexus models were in short supply, with one being very short (can't remember which because I was not looking for it, but it was car, not a SUV). I was also told the the colors using RED are going to be very hard to get next year. Something about the coral they use for the color pigment got messed up in the tsunami and they can't get if for a while.
BTW- Love my first Lexus. I've had Volvos and Hondas for the past 20 years. Decided to step it up in retirement. It is mostly a "trip" vehicle. First was yesterday (350 miles, trip to St. Michael's MD for shopping and lunch) . I was impresses. Got pretty good gas mileage for an SUV (24-26).
