David, that's ridiculous and plain stupid on AT's part. I was very fortunate. My former installer also did the body shop work for the local Lexus dealers so he knew them inside and out. Never had a problem with his work. It's time to seek restitution from AT. Good luck and safe trip.

Has anyone experienced problems with their auto starter in the push to start model Lexus? My wife had an auto starter installed at dealership and is required to restart even after using remote. Once she use remote car automatically locks; then once she unlocks using her remote the car shuts off. I'm kind of hesitant to get one installed now for my 2010 Lexus ES 350. What's the purpose of having a starter if you have to restart once you get in the car???

Thared1, if you're talking about OE remote start (RES or RES+), then yes, the vehicle will turn off when the door handle is touched or unlocked using the key fob. I don't find the fact it turns off that way to be an inconvenience. I'd have to step on the brake to get into gear anyway so it's only a matter of an additional step to hit the the start button. To answer your other question, I had a module replaced recently on my RX450h that was preventing RES from working under 10 degrees. It was isolated to 2010 models and installs. All is well.
