Default RX330 Nav Questions....

Three questions:

1. Is there a way to display longitude and latitude coordinates of your current location or a location you manually pick on the map display?

2. Is there a way to display smaller/minor street names on the map display? It seems like only the major street names are displayed. I know it might get cluttered, so maybe question 3 below would be better.

3. Is there a way to display a street name by pointing to it on the map display?

1. Yes, there is a way to get your current lat/long. You need to drill down into the "Emergency" option on the Destination menu. Unlike the 300, the 330 version of this feature shows you the current lat/long at the time you brought up the screen. On the 300, it updates the lat/long continuously as you drive. But no, I haven't found a way to get the lat/long of an arbitrary map point.

One improvement from the 300 that's along this same thread - if you press "Map" on the 330 when the map is already displayed and tracking the movement of the car, it will display the current address/street name and city name across the top of the screen. Lat/long would have been a nice addition.

2 and 3. I haven't found a way to force the system to display the name of a given street. Even at the maximum zoom, it still doesn't show all of the names. I agree that's annoying, and I would love to hear if someone has found a solution.

I've been playing around with the NAV and found a workaround solution to my #3 question.

If you put your select(put crosshair) a street that has no street name and push ENTER, the NAV will give you the street name. Less convenient than having the name on the display, but you'll at least be able to identify an un-named street.
