C-BEST Programming
Does anyone know what programming features are available using C-BEST on the 330? I have spoken to several dealerships in the area and seem to be getting conflicting information.
Thought I would start here first, before calling Lexus customer service to see if they had something in writing.
It's to bad you have to get the dealership to program the features instead of having the owners program them on their own.
Thanks
Chris

there's quite a long list of things you can do. here's a link to the info from Daddy-O's FAQ's on this forum:

for the new 330, i believe there are also C-BEST settings for the power lift gate - default settings make the lights blink twice and the car beeps twice. i believe one or both of those can be changed and/or disabled.

Thanks for the link Lexuslover. I printed it off for future reference. This is a list for the 300. I have been told but still uncertain of some new programming features on the 330.
1) Power door locks - remotely lock when vehicle is put in drive or at a certain speed and open when put in "park" or when the vehicle is turned off.
2) Side mirrors folding in.
Any ideas if any of these are true?
Thanks
Chris

yeah, the list on the FAQ forum is for the 300, but most, if not all, should carry over to the new 330.
(1) i forgot about the new door locks. the factory default is that it locks when shifted out of "P". i think the 330 has the same programming capabilities as the GX, such as, you can have it unlock when put back into "P", and one for speed-set locking (set to lock after 12mph or something like that). i have not tried it myself (i disabled all my auto locking at the dealer, just my personal preference), but check out this thread in the GX forum and give it a shot. it just might save you a trip to the dealer:

(2) the side mirrors are not automated or motorized (like the GX's), so there are no c-best functions available for that. the side mirrors do tilt in reverse, and you can disable this yourself by putting the mirror adjust control to the center position (this is not a c-best programming function).
hope this helps. let us know if you try the self-programming and have some success!

I successfully got mine to work, so keep trying.
I choose the option to have them lock at approximately 12 MPH. It also automatically unlocks all the doors when I shift back into Park. At first I didn't think I wanted this, but now I really like it. Whenever I go to the garage to put something in the car, I would always go to the passenger side, because it was the closed to the door, and it would be locked. Now I don't have to walk around the car to the driver's side. Not that I'm lazy, just fustrated that I didn't bring the keys with me. Also, when I would pull into the garage, I would forget to unlock the doors before trying to open the rear door, now I don't have to worry about it.
Again, it took me several tries, but it does work.

I have an 01 RX, and tried several times - it didn't work for me. Figure this feature became available on later models. However, when I get my 330 - I will program the locks then.
