Door moulding ..repair or replace
Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your help. I have a 2005 RX 330 and both front doors ( mid door) moulding are starting to separate from the door. Are they held in with a clip or something? Can they be repaired or must they be replace. If so is it something a novice like me could attempt. Any and many instructions would be great. Many thanks again

I have recently replaced my two right side mouldings, ordered from Sewell, because mine were damaged with paint scratches. It is held on by double stick tape and has about three clips to help you align the new one when installing (it's not a tight clip, more of an alignment clip). The worst part was scraping off all the old double sided tape still stuck on the door panel. After that, it's just peeling off the new tape backing and aligning the new moulding with the existing holes. Make sure you clean the door panel before applying the moulding.
If you wanted to salvage your older moulding, you could probably scrape off the old tape from both sides and find some good double sided tape (3M) and apply that to your old moulding.
