Fading Rear Window Spoiler
The rear window spoiler (that houses the 3rd brake light) on my RX330 is fading quite badly and has become extremely patchy. During the day if the sun hits it , it's rather nasty to look at and I need to fix it.
A friend mentioned possibly using some vinyl dye on the lip (as it absorbs the colour quite nicely) but not sure if the spoiler is actually painted black at the factory or whether this is just tinted plastic from the factory.
I noticed this after I had washed my cars a few weeks ago, so unlike the picture the problem still exists when the car is clean so it's not a dirt problem
I will leave it black, so need to know if the vinyl dye will actually resolve my problem.

Mine is the same as well. It received as much attention as the painted surfaces to protect against the sun and I never used any harsh chemicals on it. Doubtful any dye would work on that area.
You can try to Plasti Dip it black or you can have it painted the same color as your vehicle. Shouldn't be all that expensive.

Hence we should be waxing this spoiler every now and then. Grant that I wash the RX every 2 to 3 weeks consistently, except winter time.
