'07 RX350 with 90k miles... wise purchase?
So I'm looking for a new (to me) car, and my budget will allow me something along the lines of a Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V, or maybe a Mazda CX-7 with somewhere around 40-50k miles on it... all of which seem like reasonable moves...
However, I've found a 2007 RX350 with 90k miles on it that would fit in the same budget. Acc. to the dealer, it was kept in a garage, and had all scheduled maintenance at the dealer, and the records are available.
90k miles worries me a bit, but I understand the RX is a rock-solid vehicle. So I'm seriously considering it.
What are you folks' thoughts -- is this car going to last me a good long time, assuming I continue to get all scheduled maintenance? I'm trying to be practical here, but am willing to sacrifice a tiny bit of practicality for a terrific ride...

If you can take it to a mechanic and have it checked out, and he gives it an ok, i would go for it as long as the price is right. How much are they asking if you dont mind?

Welcome to CL.
Can not go wrong with an RX.
If buying from a Lexus dealer, tell them to print out full service history. That will give you peace of mind if it is clean. And a 3rd party party check would be a good investment.
You have to start owning a Lexus and an RX is the best starter.
Go for it.

I bought my 2005 with 148,000 on the clock, and I'm now at 153,000 with absolutely no problems, and it drives like it only has 50,000 on it. Of the other options listed, the CX-7 would be my only other choice, as the CR-V and Forester are going to get you lost in the crowd of boring and mundane. Just my opinion, of course
