Default Chipmunk dining on engine wires.

Yes! Twice this critter has eaten through my Coolant temp Sensor wire. Here's the neat and skinny.

1.) He ate through the pigtail end as well as the part of the wire that disappears into the wire harness.
2.) It appears the short piece of wire from the pigtail to the harness is somehow different. It looks like it has special "connectors" in it.
3.) This critter is now taunting me. The second time I checked, similar to first inspection, he had stacked a winter's supply of acorns under the engine cover. Only this time he placed the piece of chewed off wire on "top!" of the nuts. I started laughing and said, "Ok, Alvin, it's on!"

My question is I have 're-attached' all wires, but now would like to replace the connector and the length of wire to the harness.

Any help?

Oh....I have a 2007 Lexus RX350.

Thanks guys/girls,
john

Sorry I won't be any assistance about replacing wires or harness but here's a great link to advice on how to catch the critter. You're not the first and sadly won't be the last one that had a critter in their vehicle.
