Nothing from interior air vents
Hello to all,
I'm a newb to this particular board, thanks for having me. My wife has a 2008 RX 350 with 58,XXX miles on it. She came home today and told me that no air is coming out of the interior air vents. Well, she's right. I can hear the compressor engage when I push the A/C button but no air is being pushed out on any setting. I'm assuming it's some kind of cabin fan or fan motor that went out. I yanked the corresponding fuse but I cant see if its burnt out or not. Any thoughts or experiences with this would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I saw that the factory warranty is 4 yr/50K. What kind of luck have people had with dealerships covering something like this just outside of warranty?
Thanks it advance!! Cheers
Ryan

Welcome to CL!
My bet would be that your actuator has failed. This actuator controls the settings on the AC (floor, vents, dashboard, etc).
That would be the direction you want to take.
This actuator was noisy in mine (the famous tick-tick-tick noise) and fortunately was replaced under warranty.
Lexus Dealer will not offer goodwill on out of warranty issues like this if you have not spent quite a few bucks with them. Same is true if you contact Lexus Corporate (which BTW I suggest you do after talking to your dealer and have received the NO sir we cannot).
End of the day, purchase the actuator and do it yourself if you can. Or take it to a Toyota shop, they will do it for much cheaper.
Good luck.

Thank you mandyfig! That's a great place to start and I appreciate your insight. I'll get that actuator ordered.
Does the ~$43K that we spent when we purchased the vehicle count as "quite a few bucks with them"? Ha ha
