Which is my best bet? Price is same/similar between both brands but they sell two different types for each brand under iridium.

I'm using RockAuto.com as my source, or a local parts place that has NGK's on the cheap.

I personally got NGK's 'second best' if you will, Iridium's recently on my 1mz-fe ES300, the next ones were some 'super thin tip' type of NGK's.

This is a daily, and like i said, both are within 0.50$ of each other all in all. I just don't know if the NGK are OEM on these cars or DENSO is the 'new oem' on the more recent Lexii fleet...

I did a search at Sewell. The part number it comes back with is: SK20R11

That is a Denso part number, so that is more than likely what the dealer would sell you.

When you check the Owner's Manual you see:



So, both are pretty much considered OEM. Honestly, I do not think you can go wrong either way. Do not believe there is a huge difference. I was always told to use NGK in Japanese built vehicles and they have never let me down.

BTW, if you check the NGK web site you will see that the IFR6A11 plug has been discontinued. If you let the system provide you a list of plugs for the RX330 you will see that one of the ones it comes back with that is closest to what is listed in the Owner's Manual is the IFR6T11. That is shown as a Laser Iridium OEM Style.

Am going to guess that is a different NGK Iridium plug than the one you used in your ES300.

The next one up seems to be the NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug which is part number: BKR6EIX-11. Is only a few pennies more expensive than the IFR6T11.

Note the differences in the part number scheme, however. While the BKR6EIX-11 shows as an appropriate replacement, for comparison I would use the IFR6T11 to compare to the Denso SK20R11.

^im running those ones in my ES, the BXR6EIX... Since thats what I was sold at the parts place as the "common replacement".

I just changed my pugs last weekend. I had Denso in the front bank and NGK in the rear. Many Toyota/Lexus V6 come that way from the factory. The plugs are installed at 2 different areas of the assembly line and they use whatever they have in front of them at the time. I replaced mine with NGK. Advance Auto had them on sale for around $40.
