RX 330 Rear Washer
Hi fellow memebers. I have a question regarding my rear window washer. Is there a separate motor for the washer. When I move the switch forward to wash the wiper moves but no fluid coming out. The front is working as well as the headlight washers. Is the same resivior used for all three? If there is a separtate motor/pump where might it be located. Thanks for any help regarding this issue.

If I haven't used the rear window washer in a while, it takes several seconds for the fluid to come out. I don't know how long you tried for, but it might be worth another try.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that it comes out of the same reservoir as the front washer fluid.
Good Luck,
Jeff

Yes, there is a separate pump for the rear. All the pumps are attached to the washer fluid reservoir. At the rear (toward the cabin) are the pumps for front and rear windows - they are mounted one above the other. At the front of the reservoir (toward the bumper) is the pump for the headlamp washers. The headlamp pump is around $200 depending on where you source it. The other pumps are around $50.
You can search at sewell.com or just click this link. http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...X330-2004.html The reference # is 85310, but I don't know if it's pump 1 or pump 2 for the rear or if they are the same pump, as they have two different part #s.
Just for your info 85280a is the headlamp washer pump

If you can hear pump try disconnectin hose at hatch and blowing into hose you hear bubbling at tank then try with hose off, reconnect and try if works you should flush tank with garden hose mine would stop working sometimes in the front and rear. Iheard thatwasher fluid can congeal at bottom of tank. When i flushed with water i pushed 1/4 plastic tube to bottom of tank andblew cmpressed air to agitate whatever is at bottom loose and repeated fill water blow with air, it is like a geyser never saw what came out but no prob since
If you no pump noise might be pump

Thanks for all the input. I don't know if it was clogged or something, but it is working now. The time when it did not work, it was very cold out, maybe iced up a bit. Thanks again everyone, as as normal, this site is simply the best. I always get questions answered.
