Do you include new TPMS seal kit when replacing tires?
I'm about ready to replace the OEM Michelin tires on my 2008 RX350 with the same brand and model at COSTCO since they seem to offer the best overall price (free road hazard, free balance and rotation). Just about all the tire places including COSTCO recommend replacing the old seal or gasket inside the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) valve with a new seal kit to prevent corrosion. The cost is only $2 per tire. Since I've had zero problems with my TPMS, will I be introducing dirt when they rebuild the TPMS? For those of you who have replaced the seals while replacing the tires, have you had any problems? COSTCO is not insisting I replace the seals but highly recommend it. They said there is no problem at all to reuse the existing seals inside the TPMS--strictly my choice. Appreciate if you can share your thoughts and experience. Thanks.

I just checked the invoice on the Michelin tires that I had done at Costco. It does not show any seal kit replacement, nor was I asked about a seal kit. I had this done 20K miles ago and I have not had any TPMS problems. Costco at no cost will also fill the tires with Nitrogen. That will cut down on air loss and let the tires run cooler.

LOL! It is true though. But free food only offered during lunctime mainly.
I would when it comes my time. Which is soon. And Costco is looking like the best candidate. Sears is 2nd.
