09 RX350 power outlet not working
Tried to search for the same issue that I got, and didn't find any thread related to my issue.
the power outlets, all 3 of them are not working. checked the fuse for outlet under the hood, it is fine.
what caused all the 3 power outlets not working?
Also I checked the manual, there are different fuses, like pwr outlet No.2, pwr outlet No.1 and CIG fuse. what difference?
Thanks for the help.

thanks. yes it is under warranty. I just dont have time to wait on the dealership for a couple hours.
if it is a quit fix, I would rather do it myself.

check the fuse block under the wheel they use the very small fuses in that block. You have to take thecover off of it and them you can see the fuse list key and pull it out and test it.

You need to be checking the blade fuses (#63 and #64) in the driver's side instrument panel fuse box and not the ones under the hood. They are 15A.
Check the Electrical Components section of your Owner's Manual.

As for what caused these fuses to blow, if they truly have, any of the following could be possible amongst a long list of possibilities:
* personal convenience items such as powered coolers
* tire inflators
* power inverters (all types)
etc.
Also, we cannot rule out a problem with the vehicle itself, such as a short somewhere in the harness.
Could also have been a problem with that batch of fuses and you got some that while rated at 15A were not truly up to snuff.
It is also possible to blow a fuse simply by unplugging a device that is actively drawing current. Rare, but a reproducible circumstance.
Does not mean you cannot use the above listed items, you just need to be more careful in checking the power requirements of these devices in advance to make sure they do not draw more than say 10A. Sometimes these devices would normally be fine, however, when they get old or malfunction they may start drawing more power than they should.
So, no short and easy answer to your question. A lot of "could be" and "what if" responses.
If this is the case in your situation where the fuse has truly blown, as I am just theorizing here, do not replace the 15A fuse with one of higher value. This is never a good idea.

Are your rear dome lights out as well?
We had a power adapter come apart in the wife’s RX and the outlet quit working. After fishing around found a small metal ring that came off the power plug the wife had put in the power slot and it shorted it out and popped a breaker. I think it was the panel on the driver side dash area by the door opening. Was fun to locate, but that’s where the blown fuse was hiding.
Seriously, Lexus has so many fuse panels and they are hidden everywhere. Just grab a flashlight and the owners’s manual and go on a hunt, you’ll find it. If it isn’t the fuses, I recommend just cruse into Lexus dealership and talk with a service rep. They are great, especially if you get to know one of them, they will bend over backwards for you. I’ve gotten many deals for service because of a friendly relationship with the service rep.
