Anyone here try the WeatherTech visors / bug deflector?
I've been looking for some nice window visors but it seems most of the el-cheapo ones on Ebay are the ones that use 3M double-sided tape...from experience I know those fall off
What do you guys use for a quality hood bug deflector and window visors?
I found this bug deflector:
http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...1013&Year=2005
and this set of window visors:
http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...1013&Year=2005
Not bad for $99 and $59

the quality of the window visors is very good... they install in the channel of the window as opposed to cheaper ones that install with tape
you'll definitely be happy with weathertech products

I had the Weathertech window visors on the 300 and 330. They're thick but have enough clearance to clean the window underneath. Installation can be scary because you have to bend them. Don't worry, they're tough. One broke on me in the rear, not sure what happened. So I ordered the rear pair only. Weathertech didn't require buying all four.

Between two RXs, only having one break in 11 years isn't bad.

WeatherTech Visors
Hi,
I have the Weathertech visors installed on my RX-330/06 and they look great and are good. The only problem that I find with them, is that at highway speeds you get a slight whistle. If you wear hearing aids, this can be annoying. One other thing is since they fit in the track and you hit the window switch to raise the window, it will go up, but since it meets a slight resistance, it will go down due to the safty feature built into the windows system. Best way is to toggle it up.

I have the form-fit deflector and it works nice. Went to Disneyworld last week and it kept my windshield clean. Looks good, too.

Rick, the JDMS were twice as much as the 2nd gen. I got them from Luis at Carson Toyota. It took exactly four weeks to get them. They came in the day before I picked up my 450h. I had the dealer do the install for me Attached are the installation instructions for reference. They are externally applied versus the Weathertechs that sit in the window track. But the JDMs sit so flush to the point most people think they came with the car.
The main reason I went with the JDMs is that Weathertech didn't have a color to match my RX and the rears were not available due to some kind of production issue. And yes, they look awesome. I'm very happy I went with them.

Hope that the tape on the jdm's is of a better quality than that on the rear quater window trim molding was attached with, regardless of the clips. They can easily come off.
Weather Techs will not come off, as held in place by the window track.

I'm wondering about theft for the Weathertech's. I've they're in-channel, wouldn't it be easier for someone to pull down on them to force the windows down and open?
edit: forgot to comment on the JDMs - very nice, clean look. I would love to see one on the 2nd Gen if anyone's got them.
