looks good to me; I did this on my '04 and it's the only way to roll unless you regularly carry a canoe or something. You will enjoy washing the car a LOT more now.
when you remove the whole rack -what is left on the roof behind. do you have wholes left by the bolts or is there a cap you need to use to cover the 4 mouting points ?

ck this link. I took the roof rack off my wife's RX 350 a few months ago. Taste vary but I think these cars look better w/o the rack.

Just for clarity, that was not my "how to" post. I merely followed the instructions in that post to remove the roof rack from my wife's car. I don't want credit for a great post I didn't write.
Wow that looks pretty nice without the roof bars. I always wondered if they were an option or just standard with the car and if you could remove them.
If you decide to remove the rack be sure to buy a proper kit to make the roof water tight. The CL vendor Sewell sells one that works really well. More info here:
