Bit the Bullet; had 60K & 90K service done
Due to our RX being 6 years old, had both these services done (for the most part) over a 2 day period.[LIST]
Changed oil
Drain & fill transmission fluid
Drain & replace coolant
Changed brake fluid
Changed differential fluids
Replaced accessory belts
Replaced timing belt
Replaced water pump (probably not necessary, but they were there anyhow)
Air filter
Cabin filter
Had it done at an independent import car service facility, but with all Toyota/Lexus parts and fluids.
Ouch, but we're good for the most part for quite a while.

I would have suggested to wait for 90k for 90k service, but that is just me.

I will wait and follow Toyota's schedule, just me, too.
Good for you though. Peace of mind. Now that's priceless.

If it was a non-interference engine, I would have easily waited. My luck with cars is not good, and I wasn't up to tempting the fates again.

Aw,just run it. Never hear of any timing belt failures on here prematurely. A satellite could drop out of the sky tonight and land on my house. But I`m not going to loose any sleep over either one.

Several posters are right about the timing belt; it looked new. However, I WAS following Lexus schedule on the belt, the owners manual states 90K miles OR 6 years. Car was 6 last November.

Yep, tempting fate may not be good. The SC430 also have known to have a stout timing belt. However, a few days ago one of the member timing belt snap and seize the engine - an 02 with 40k miles. The quotes to fix was insane - link. Mine is also over 6 and nearing 7 with 55k miles. I'll probably wait another year before before getting it change. I'll take my little gamble, but not too much.
Add to that, we don't keep cars a long, long time, and would probably be getting rid of it in 2-3 years and it will probably have 110-120K miles. With that being the case, we would have had to do everything we've already done anyhow, it's just done and now we can enjoy it, take it on vacation, etc. without wondering if something is ready to "go".
