Default Good price for accessories?

Hello! I didn't want to hijack Tftimm's thread, but I too am a new owner of a 2004 RX330. reading through the posts on that thread, I see some items that were missing from my vehicle when I purchased it, and I wanted to know where I should go for purchasing these items. I think the main things I need are another key (only got one master and the card key) and front floor mats. Optional items are roof rack ( I see the paint chipping on the underside), cargo cover and the pistons for the rear door - they work, but they're very rusty.

Man, I love this vehicle. I upgraded from a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe pretty much primarily because it didn't have an auto-up driver's window and it didn't have leather. But this Lexus is easily the nicest vehicle I've ever owned.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you fellow enthusiasts. Any information you can provide me will certainly be appreciated!

No worries, you can hijack my thread. Congrats on your RX. I've had 3 Acura's, but this is by far the nicest vehicle I've had. My 2001 TL was nice as well, but the Lexus is a bit nicer I must say.

Good luck with yours. I will be getting the cover next time I go to the dealer.

What kind/octane of gas are you planning to put in your RX?

for my very first tank i put in 91, so I'm going to see how it goes. I'm obviously not against paying less for fuel, so I'm anxious to see the replies to your post. I'm thinking 89 is the norm based upon what I've read.

Thanks Greasegun; I appeciate the warm welcome. And I hope mine is trouble free as well, else my wife will have my head on a stick for trading in a 2008 vehicle with warranty left...

just an update, purchased weathertech mats based upon my reading on the board, and also just purchased a master key from ebay for $60. So without even driving today, my vehicle cost me $175.

not complaining. still love it.

Keep your eye on Ebay for the parts you're still looking for. My 2007 RX350 did not have the cargo cover (can't believe I didn't notice) and I bought a brand new one on eBay for $175.

Welcome; you'll find a wealth of infomation here. I have in just the 2 past months.

Pjm207, good luck with finding the right cargo cover. The 2006 and prior uses a larger clips than the 2007 models due to the rear headrest post being larger on diameter and they are hard to come by. Most of the ones I see on ebay is the newer version with smaller clips.

Don't bother calling the dealer or even approved vendor for price quote because they won't just sell you the cargo cover but instead the entire assembly and the dealer's cost is almost $800.

I was lucky enough that my sales guy got a cargo cover for me from another same year RX on the dealer's lot.

Gah. And another quest begins...

At least with the tinted windows it's not an absolute necessity.

I bought my 2004 RX330 new, it now has 125,000 miles. I tossed the cargo cover into a corner in the garage right after I bought the car, and as far as I know, its still there. You really dont need it.

you're right. i should just focus on the cargo net - that's pretty worthwhile to have.
