How long on the original battery?

^^Have a point, must agree!

Lived in Chicago for 4 years, you better have juice in your battery all the freezing time!

Going on 6 years and still going strong. Just went over sea for a month and when I came back the car started right up on first try. I even jumped start someone else car that was stranded in the middle of the road the other day.
Maybe, the mostly cool weather here in Seattle is not too hard on battery (not too hot/cold). Heard that the OEM (Panasonic) battery is hard to find and expensive so I've been looking around Costco for the replacement once the battery start to show some sign of failure.

Power functions
If Sears or someone other than the dealer replaces the battery, do they have the ability to reset some of those computer/electronic functions like the power windows etc? Last time the battery was removed from my 330, the dealer had to do some things to reset various electronic functions.

They will not reset anything. You will have to do it yourself. The manual details everything. Otherwise bring it to your friendly Lexus dealer and they will take care of it. Have a cup of Starbucks coffee while you are at it.

Ours was a Panasonic also (purchased our made in Japan RX in late November 2003). Panasonic makes a great battery; the one in my Acura lasted a little over 7 years.
As for the RX, last winter, I was getting nervous with the Colorado winter approaching, so I replaced (preventative) the RX battery with a battery from NAPA.

Well my battery died, it's exactly 3 years and 32k miles. I took my car to the lexus dealer and they replaced it under warranty. The new battery has the lexus label and the 84 months warranty printed on it. The old one didn't have any label but a small circle glass.

Looking at Costco for a replacement battery for the RX. The book says Group 35, 24F. My Costco does not have this battery.
Somebody from here was able to find the battery at their Costco, just need to know if the other Group 35's can be used in our RX. Kirkland (which is a Johnson Control) is quite good and reasonably priced. Warranty is a breeze.
Although Costco has raised the price on these suckers in the last year. They are now $60+. Used to be $50. However they do battery installs now, free.
Check them out.
Anybody who has used Kirkland battery for their RX, chime in!
Thanks.

the original battery on my '04 RX330 got 105K miles before it basically quit. no matter how long i charge it, it won't hold a charge. took it to autozone to test and they said it's dead for good! of course, i live in wisconsin so extreme weather didn't help either.

2004 RX330 have 110,000 km on it and the original battery is still working fine. I had to charge it once, I think is because I drive short distances and also the cold weather here in Canada
