Default 08 RX Bluetooth

I'm interested in getting a new Backberry Pearl phone. My provider is Sprint. It is not listed on the approved list of phones by Lexus, but AT&T and I think Verizon are listed. Why would one Pearl work and not another? Does anyone have a Blackberry Pearl using Sprint that works with their RX with no problems? Any suggestions.

Many of the same phones have different features enabled for each service provider. I'm not sure why they do this but they do. I know some of the phones will not let you transfer the address book via blue tooth and the same phone of different service provider will.

I have successfully made and received calls using a couple of phones via bluetooth that weren't on the approved list. but did run into the phone book transfer issue on one of them that jgr7 mentions.

Thanks for the info, seems like it should work. I'll deal with the phonebook problems, as long as I can use the phone while driving. I'll give it a try when my phone arrives.

We use an 8830 from Sprint and it works perfectly, so the pearl should work as well. We were able to transfer contacts without issue. And the phone pairs immediately when the car is started.

I had a Blackberry 8700 and found the phonebook transfer instructions on the Blackberry forums and they worked well for me. Just switching to an iPhone now and will probably get LockPick installed soon.
