Default Transferring Cell Phone Contact List

I am in the process of programming my '09 RX navigation system. Wife and I both have LG XV8700 (Shine) phones which connect and work fine with the RX unit, hands free, etc. I tried to download the phonebook from the phone to the RX via Bluetooth and found it didn't work. Dealer tells me that this is a problem specifically with LG phones. Anyone out there have a similar problem or better still, a resolution?

Many thanks for any replys.

Not only the phone but also the carrier must be compatible to transfer a phone list. Lexus has a website that shows the phones that are suppose work:

http://lexusbluetooth.letstalk.com

My LG VX8100 was not compatible and I had to transfer the entire list manually. My Lexus dealer said that the reason I could not transfer the contact list was the fault of Verizon not the LG phone.

The following links you to Lexus' website and you can enter your phone model and carrier in to determine if you can transfer you phonebook:

Thanks all for the input/ Looks like I'm scuppered.

BTW, went to the RX Pebble Beach site and found you guys in the US get a bunch more stuff than we do. Got a lighter tan coloured travel bag and wallet; that was the extent of it!

Same problem trying to do the transfer of my iphone 3G and the wife's Samsung. Neither one will transfer. How do you transfer one contact at a time? Thanks.
