where to find double din dash kit for rx330
anyone know where to find a double din dash kit for the rx330? i heard its a jdm part.. but dont see it for sale anywhere..
I have a 2005 non nav rx330 and want to put an eclipse double din radio/nav in there.. maybe the avn5500
crutchfields site said it doesnt fit,..maybe with the dash kit it may..
anyone know how much it would cost to fabricate a custom dash kit?

This may be what you are looking for - take a look at this item on ebay
Perfect to install most aftermarket radios in your RX! Item number: 230049676898
Can't say one way or another if this would work for you. I saw it while I was looking for some mats.

anyone know if this hooks up to the factory amps(non ml/navi)?
is the headunit is good enough to power all the stock speakers in the car or would i need extra amps?

The kit itself is just a kit. You need to purchase your own double din head unit of your choice. The after market deck would not easily hook up to the stock amp. I personally bypassed the amp and used my own amp connected to the stock speakers. How much power is enough is up to you. I feel 50W to each channel is more than enough for most people. My after market amp is 100W per channel, but I use nowhere near the full potential and 100W.
My RX is a non navi non ML so it should be really easy to hook up that Eclipse unit you want. It will just take a little planning. Personally, I say bypass the amp and use after market amps. The non ML RX audio system uses 6 channels. Two in each front door, two more in each rear door, and the last two drive the mid driver and tweeter combo on the dash/A-pillar. Since most after market head unit receivers including the Eclipse mentioned only have a 4 channel output, you need two more channels to complete the system. Therefore, I say just forget the stock amp power and hook up a separate single 6 channel, or 4 channel and 2 channel amps to complete the system. I wouldn't worry about swapping out the stock speakers unless you are planning on a real high end SQ system, or until you blow a speaker.
