Smile How would you rate the parts & service in your dealer?

Before I pick up my RX350 Saturday, my salesman told that beside the loaner (service requires 1.5+ hours), they will come to your work or home to pick up your car for service, then drop it off when it's done.

My dealer (Woodfield) charges a $35 fee to pickup and drop off the car. I think all dealers charge some type of fee for this service.

Woodfield Lexus for me too. They usualy don't come to homes and do pick ups or anything like that, it'll be a $35 charge if they do. I've heard of some dealers around the country that are nice enough to actually come to your home to swap cars with you for services.

Even though I haven't used it, my dealer's service department will come to my residence, leave me a loaner, and take my GX to and from their dealership (100 miles each way) if I needed any service done. It' a nice thing to know but I rather drive my own vehicle instead of letting some lot jockey have at the vehicle for 200 miles.

Please tell me. I have heard many saying Toyota service is less than average, like bottom of the list. My experience with Toyota is more than good. It is like hell and heaven when compares with Toyota and Lexus service. Hmmm... like Audi and VW.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the dealer I go to by my house. Service dept open 7/365 from 7am - 11pm with over 20-30 loaners...

they dont even want you to make an appt for your service. I called to make an appt for my 15k, they said no need, just come in, take a loaner, no problem.

thats good service...and not over-priced either.

I've never requested pickup/dropoff service, though I believe I read somewhere that it's free if you need warranty work and you live quite far away from a Lexus dealer (like 50+ miles).
I would give very high marks for service to Lexus of Naperville (Chicago suburbs). Great facility, they don't hesitate to offer a loaner on something that will take a couple of hours, they've always been able to at least look at a problem the same day I call, and they've always fixed the problem the first time. And prices at the parts counter are actually reasonable, given that it's a Lexus dealer.
