Urethane Film Chip Protection question
As I live in Ohio there are a very limited number of film installers in the Cleveland
area. So far I have only been able to locate installers for 3-M and Clear Shield and maybe Llumar. Any recommendation on the best of these 3 products to use on my 05 RX330 for paint chip protection?
Also I have been told to avoid covering the headlights as the product may crack the lens. Does anyone have information on this ?
Sure wish I lived in CA. as I think I'd have a large selection of product and installers !

Howdy! I had mine done with 3M and am very happy thus far! Also have it on a Z that I did myself with some help last year, it looks great too.. I looked into Llumar as a few people liked how it looked 'clear', but was turned off as it doesn't have a clear coat and some of the installers I talked to had stories of it turning dull and gray in 6 months... Then again some say 3M developed a slight yellow tinge on pure white vehicles over time, but neither cars are white so I went with shiny and strong. Good luck! This stuff is as good as gold! When you go to sell/trade it in a few years you will be able to recoup the cost/or most of it in added trade/sale $
Rock on! So to speak

Actually, I was just talking to 3M headquarters this morning....and asked them about the yellow coloring issue on their paint protection film. The guy said that this problem has been fixed!
They were aware of the yellowish discoloration....this is not longer an issue. Wohoo!!
3M here I come....
I also talked to a local 3M installer....he also told me that 3M fixed the yellowish coloration problem last year. No more of the yellowish issue....he said it was something to do with the adhesive 3M was using......He also added that 3M uses a clear coat on their film which increases longevity on the product which others don't use.
