Default impossible to find

Why is is next to impossible to find a 300 without problems!!!. Every single one so far that ive encountered has had issues except for the first one i had that got totaled out. Its impossible i swear! Im about to go over to the other side to toyota even though thats not what i want. I may not have a choice though as it seems its impossible to find a 300 without issues!!!

Matt, without sounding brash. Even though these are Lexus Products, and we all love our Lexus's, they are getting to be old cars. Things wear out.

Unless you find a super low mileage RX on eBay or at a local dealership, I'm just afraid you won't find a "Problem Free" RX300. Keep in mind that many nuisance problems, are fairly easy fixes.
They also make great negotiating points, as I recently found out with the purchase of my LS. It needed brakes, he got a quote for 870.00 dollars, so he knocked that off the price of the car, and I did the brakes myself.

Well im not expecting to find ones that are totally problem free 2kharrier. I know that due to the age of the 300 model itself; that finding one with zero problems just wont happen more than likely unless by some miracle I get super lucky which at this point i dont see happening. I know the issues with the rx's do make good negotiating points. But; most of the ones we have found so far would be just too much $ to fix on our own. Now with that said; I havent totally given up on looking for another 300. I may be going to look at another one that has 160,000 on the clock tomorrow morning thats about 30 mins or so from where i live here. Im gonna drive it; check for problems like usual and try and find a place to have it inspected if i can.

Actually; now that i think about it; i dont think I will be going all the way out there tomorrow. Just have too much going on and need to look online some more.

Well just be patient and keep on looking (that can be half the fun... The Hunt...)
It will show up eventually and you'll be pleased with your efforts. As my dear old Grand Dad said to me "Anything worth having is worth fighting for". I'm not sure how that applies, but he said it alot...

Well the big problem with waiting too much longer is the fact that right now i have a rental vehicle and i cant keep that forever because its gonna kill our wallet. That and who knows how long it could take to find a decent one.

Ok, so the rental car should be reimbursed by the other driver's insurance, but yes, you can't keep the rental car indefinitely.
In Wisconsin, they would only pay for 2 weeks of rental, but I had another car to drive in the interim while I searched for the RX I bought.
Sorry that you are having difficulty finding the "right one"...

I may.....again MAY have finally found a good one today. Went to a lexus dealer that just got a trade in of a 99 300 with 131,000 on it. Drove and and it seemed to be in pretty good shape for a 15 year old vehicle all things considered. They hadnt totally gone through the vehicle yet when i went for a test drive of it; so they are gonna finish that up. Just talked to the sales person i dealt with and hes gonna email me a copy of the inspection sheet from when the tech went through it which apparently from what he told me has already been done which was pretty quick. That tells me if Im gonna make a move on this one we better do it soon because it may not sit around for too long as this one like i said appears to be in pretty good shape all things considered. So if we can get the price low enough hopefully i will get this one.
