Could you have a bad oil control valve?

I have no clue what so ever. It does seem that it is using some oil but no idea if that is related. Is that an interal component?

Disconnect the battery and see if that code goes away.

there are two oil control valves for the camshafts...variable timing. do a search on this forum and their are entries of where they are located. The codes are absolutely necessary....

JBweld can not maintain hold due to high temp. Weld or brazing is needed if possible.

I used the JB weld Stick. It claims to hold temps up to 500 degrees. So far so good

I reset the computer and the light has not came back. She seems to be running much better now. Crossing my fingers.

Just an update. Everything is running good. Now avg 19.3 mpg +/- the variance of the cpu. This is in stop and go traffic on the highway. After the smell of the residual jb weld finally went away, the car is much more quiet and no check engine light.
