What size are bolts for Liftgate Strut Replacement?
Bought a pair of liftgate struts to replace the worn out ones on the vehicle.
It's a simple DIY job. Of course, having proper support to hold the liftgate up is crucial.
In replacing one of the struts, I dropped one of the bolts and have since lost it. Need to find a replacement bolt to hold the strut more securely.
What size bolts are these and where can I find it?

Don't they have a ball head to allow the strut to swivel? That would make it a special bolt anchor.
The replacement struts should come with a pair and you can possibly use the old one [assuming the ball is of the same size]. Contact the seller of the strut for replacement.
Pick-a-part is another option but the exact size for the new ball&socket would have to come from the seller.
You may like to invest in a magnetic pickup telescoping wand [like an antenna] to reach down in-between the panels. That thing will rattle sooner or later. Oh, remember to get the right strength of magnet. With a powerful magnet you can lift heavier object, but that thing will keep swinging to surrounding metal and not reach down. For small object, a weak magnet will be a better choice.

Disassemble the other strut and look at the bolt you still have...don't drop this one!

No idea offhand, just take out one of the others and match it.

Pretty sure M6 x 1.0 with a 10mm head

Thanks for this information! Had this bolt snap off in the frame and, along with removing the broken bit, was very happy to find what bolt this was to replace it. There is NOTHING on the parts diagram that I could find.
