I have a 2000 RX300 and my engine light was on. I used a KeyCode reader and get the following 4 errors. What I need to know is what PN's do I need to buy to fix the problems. I'm a woman and know just enough to be dangerous so please try to keep it simple.

1 of 4 P0171 to lean bank 1
2 of 4 P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1 or single curcuit)
3 of 4 P0330 Malfunction Knock sensor 2 (bank 2)
4 0f 4 P0171 (pd) To lean bank 1

My suggestion would be to clear the codes and have them re-read at first occurrence.

Another suggestion is that if you have to buy a sensor, stick with OEM.

Sadly a code reader or scanner, though a highly useful tool, all too often is like a man standing out in a field pointing in a given direction. He doesn't have a laser at the end of his arm, he has a finger there instead. He's pointing you in the direction you need to go, but not pointing like a laser at exactly where you need to go.
I would 1st clear the trouble codes and then see what comes back 1st. that will at least give you better direction than you likely have now. Then go here: http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/lexus/ and spend a little time on the site. It's a good one with a lot of information and even an area that tells you what the most likely cause and cure is for the code(s) that come back 1st. Then do a search on this site using the code that comes back 1st. Remember, it's kind-of like a scavenger hunt, you're not sure whether you'll come up with what's on the list, but you may very well. I'm sure others will enter with good advice.

One important piece of advice!!! DON"T go out and buy the parts to fix those codes!!! You may very well have thrown the money away. Find out 1st. what the actual problem is and THEN buy the parts to fix it. Horse goes before the cart. Good Luck!

If you have the reader handy, you may like to check again. The light comes up after certain number of errors are accumulated. These are referred to as "pending" codes. This may give you an early read,

Note all "pending' codes do not turn into Error Codes. As Code58 said, dont rush to buy the parts on pending codes.

A cheap shot on trying to fix the PO171 is to simply clean the MAF if you are DIYer. There are a couple of threads on that.
