Windshield washer pump not working?
Hi people, I am new to this forum and have tried searching for this problem but came up empty any help would be much appreciated. Also if there is already a thread concerning this a link would be great, thanks.
So my windshield washer does not work. I started my problem solving with the fuse, and it is perfectly usable. Then I checked the washer fluid lines along the hood to see if any liquid was actually coming out, and nothing. I dont know too much about how lexuses work, I am a Honda guy mostly, but I just got this rx and right away my washer fluid went out. But I digress, so after checking the lines I made sure all the wiring was good and that there no exposed wires to cause shorts or anything and so far so good. However the washer fluid still refuses to come out. I am assuming that the pump must be out the car has 170k so it could be understandable. If anyone has any ideas what the problem could be for any insight that would help it would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Do you hear the pump motor running when you throw the switch for the front or rear washer? The same pump motor does both by spinning in opposite directions. If you do a search, you should find discussions of how to replace the windshield washer pump. I think some people have found a Toyota pump that works. I think it is somewhat unique to Lexus and Toyota.

Pull the conector and see if power is going to the pump, if it is replace the pump.
$62 Lexus

or
$39 for the Toyota part that is supposed to be the same thing.
