Satellite radio in your RX300
I have had my XM radio (shown in photo) in my RX300 for several years now, using a cassette adapter and having the antenna sitting on the sunroof shade handle. Works perfectly fine in Mexico.
However, I was curious as to how many of your members actually have satellite radio in their RX300 or even a Toyota Harrier as there are other satellite radio services around the world.

I noticed a significant sound improvement when going from an FM-modulator to the cassette tape pick-up. I don't have the NAV option, and am waiting for a plug-and-play direct input from my XM receiver to the RX300's audio system. All the products on the market that provide direct input appear to only work for an RX300 with the NAV option. Also, an XM antenna with NMO (New MOtorola for you old-timers) mounting would be nice too, although the dash-mounted XM antenna gives fine reception in the vast majority of cases.

I have had other people down here (Mexicans who illegally hook up to XM) tell me they like the cassette (although vehicle seems to have CD now) tape rather than the FM modulator. I have heard a few and we actually put my RX side by side to the same channel and you often can't hear the low bass tones on the FM modulator.

Each mode/medium (telephone/radio/tape/mp3/cd) have their limitations and thus frequency roll off. On top of that one has to deal with the quality of interface.

If you are referring to those by the air vents (this was a wood kit for the 99-00), I removed them since they didn't mesh well with the rest of the wood below.
