Question: Codes P1130 and P1150
Question: Codes P1130 and P1150
What are these codes? My engine light came on this evening while I was driving home. There was an AutoZone only a .5 mile down the road, so I pulled in. These are the codes that were in the computer, AutoZone said that it was a "Manufactur Code" and that they could not be of any more help.
Can anyone assist me with this. Thanks Guys!

Alright guys, here is what I found at this website:
http://www.troublecodes.net/Lexus/
P1130
Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P1150
Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
Can anyone tell me what I need to replace with these codes? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Alden

1. Did you to try to erase the codes, i.e. is the check engine light off now?
2. If not, what we usually do is pull the fuse below (with engine off) out for a few seconds and then put it back in.
There are to realistic possibilities here. One, the A/F sensors detected a problem for just a moment and now problem no longer exists. Two, one or both of the A/F sensors is kaput or fault and needs to be replaced. This would be the case if after you pull the fuse, the light comes back on again later.
Sometimes, weather can play a role if the A/F sensor detects something out of range in terms of the combustion process.

LexMex, Thanks for the info. I have not been pulling the fuse, I have disconected the battery. The fuse is much easier. Thanks.
Its kinda weird, sometimes I can go for a few tanks of gas, othertimes, It will come on a couple time per tank. I could take it to the local dealership, but I would rather fix it myself.

Occasionally, when the tank is too low on gas, a light can come on. It sometimes will pump the gunk at the bottom of the tank. I have never heard of this in an RX300 though, but my uncle has seen the case where a fouled up O2 sensor combined with a near empty tank and partially blocked injectors can foul up those sensors. The regular gas down here is very bad...at least for a few more years.
Sometimes at the track, like on Sunday, it can get really hot (not just weather, a lot of people and a lot of cars and it is in a high industry area, so not much trees) and some cars will actually sputter and stop along with people yawning big time. Twice, within 30 seconds before I had to stage in my bracket competition, I got a P0171 error, actually guy next to me in one round also got a light and was yapping and we paused the start while I reset his light, too. While he was thankful, he lost. However, I never get so much as an emissions related light, despite the way my exhaust system is currently configured.
I still can't figure out despite the years of cruddy gas, bad air, you name it, that my O2 sensors manage to survive down here.

lexmex, I solved p1130&p1150 problem when replaced battery. I think A/F sensor must be heated to begin work, and heating needs more time on dead batteries, and if coolant is hot enough, but A/F is cold, then ECU got timeout, before A/F sensor become hot and start working.

Welcome to the Club. To an extent yes, bad batteries can cause issues. We just changed the battery in our 2006 4Runner (there since new) and one of the things that came to life with the new battery was the rear view camera which has been dead for many, many months. However, with my sensors they had suffered some serious abuse south of the border and bad battery or not, those things were getting degraded.

bad VVT-i solenoid can also cause p1130 p1150 problems, or bad engine oil (10w40 etc)

See, what is 1130 1150 simultaneously?
That means both A/F sensors stopped working.
What may be reason??? Right, they become WET from unburned gas.
So every reason, that makes sensors WET, may cause 1130 1150
In my case, there was intermitment problem, caused by bad oil + bad ocv valve so result was 1130 1150.
Sorry for my bad english.
