99 RX300- Need help with issues with my headlights and exhaust
hey everyone,
I own an AWD RX300 (1999) with more than 107k miles. As we all know, nothing is perfect. I'm beginning to have little problems with the vehicle that are going to build up into serious things if i dont do anything soon. First, the headlights leak and have moisture build up inside them. One of the wires for the low beam on the drivers side ended up getting rusted as a result and it has been blowing my bulbs nonstop. Can anyone find out the part # for the wire that connects with the housing(wire with the metal contact that touches the contacts on the bulb).
Apart from replacing the headlights and the rusty wire/contact, i also need to find out if the exhaust is leaking any gases. It produces a sound that is identical to a torn muffler, but i cant find the puncture or hole or anything like that. Any ideas on what it could be? Any help is much appreciated and i thank everyone in advance. If you guys could either P.M me or just leave a comment. I will be checking regularly to see if anyone comes up with anything. Again, thanks.

1999 has a slight flaw in the front down pipe. It cracks at the accordion bend. This happens if the auto was placed on a lift that contacts and pushes up on the muffler. The design was replaced with the 2000.
Look for a used plug at a recycled auto lot that handles Japanese vehicles. Being low beam, they should be about the same, supporting haligen lamps. These wires are part of the main front wiring harness.

The exhaust piece Tammy is referring to is right underneath the engine and I have had to weld it twice. Very easy to find if you look underneath from the front of your RX.
See this thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-1st-gen-1999-2003/74826-cracked-exhaust-manifolds.html
There is a picture of the replacement and on the second page of my welded piece.

Thank you guys for the comments. I went to Westside Lexus of Houston today and i was told that the headlights alone are 436.48 each. What i wasnt sure about is if the guy meant the HID lights or non-HID because he wasnt too specific. As for the wire, i was told to go to a japanese-specific junkyard or something like that to get a used wire. Otherwise, the harness would be 1427.13. Does anyone know of any websites like JM or Carson that might sell these parts with a clublexus discount. If so, do you guys know the clublexus discount code for these sites. Thanks again.
