White and Purple wire
Jmezo,
I couldn't find white/purple wire for the VSS. The only one I could see is white and red wire going to/from computer (the upper block of it). Is it the same wire?
Please tell me (if I'm wrong) where exaclty can I find white/purple wire - there is a computer and there are multiple wire hubs to the right of the computer.
I don't think my mute (on nav system) is working - there no negative (ground) is coming out whenever system is talking. I know - I have connected this wire correctly because if I put ground on it - the radio will mute.
Thank you for your help.
You can e-mail me directly to kslavik@hotmail

The red/white is not it! I don't recommend you doing this part of the install!
Its been a long time since I worked on it but I know its on the passenger side. Could be the kick plate, under the dash or behind the glove box.
The nav will not talk until you are on a route. Looks like you have the right mute wire on the radio though.
Your nav unit may need another ground wire...

The actual wire
The actual wire is violet with white strip (same as mute) and it is located behind the glove box. The wire is connected to the main computer.
