Does any one know how to replace the tail light bulb on RX300? I have the bulb and I looked in the cargo area but it's not obvious.

Hi group,
How about the other tail lights, the ones in the tail gate?
Remove the 2 nuts and pry out the assembly? Or peal back the carpet and get at them that way?
btw, a while back I had to replace a tail light in the body and the link posted here was real helpful.

the ones in the tailgate are easy. basically all you do is pop out the fabric panel to get access to the bulbs. the outer lights are actually a little tougher. from what I remember when I changed out my taillights, you had to pop some panels in the trunk floor to be able to pop out the side panels. from there you can pull out the taillight itself and change the bulbs.

Thank you, the panel popped out easy as could be and there they were.

For the record, on my early 2001 RX300:
tail light bulb inthe body - 7443
tail light bulb in the hatch/tail gate - 7440
