So far, I've spent $700 on routine service(10k & 15k)
on my '01 RX300...

I also have a MB '98 E320 with 45k miles. All the routine
factory specified maintainence have only added up to
$527.... (this include Mobil 1 for all the oil changes)

How can my Lexus cost that much more to maintain?
Is my Lexus dealer over-charging me?

I paid $285 for 15 K service. Shop around, as prices vary from Lexus dealers to dealers.

I did not go to dealer at 10k-15k miles because I think my car needed nothing major at that time. I changed air filter($20) at first 15k miles, oil/filter($20) at every 5k miles and perform all the fluid checking by myself. I think the dealer would do the same thing or less.

And I spent only $310 on 30k miles service at Longo Lexus S.CA. So far I spent around $400 to maintain my RX.

I don't know if GSs and RXs are the same but I spent 210 at LongoLexus for my 15k.
