Anybody seen the Lexus digital 2-band phone in
their '01 RX300? Where is it supposed to be mounted?
Any word on price?

I had asked about this earlier for a 2000 RX, I assume it is the same setup for both. Someone said that the dealer installed Lexus phone had a lot of bugs and they were re-doing it. Not sure if it has come out yet or not...but I am interested when it does. The whole idea of the automatic muting of the radio when the phone rings as well as the hands-free feature.

I would appreciate any info anyone has as well

A few months back, i was interested in the new phone for my 01 GS 430. Also asked about location in the RX (wife's car). Service mgr was unsure about RX. Service also proprietary through Sprint with NO way of changing (according to mgr) and that was the nail in the coffin for me since my partners and I have a big pooled minutes deal with Alltel.

That said, it is certainly convenient to have the factory phone with the auto-mute, etc. Had not heard of problems but after the no-go decision, haven't asked.
