do not detect USB
Hi,
I have 2016 RX 350 with ML audio package, it do not detect USB drive when I start the car, I need to remove the drive and attache it again for it to detect and start playing music from it. Anyone have same issue? Any setting changes to fix it?
Thanks,
Aj

I have a 2015 RX and it will do the same thing on occasion. One thing I noticed is that it is more likely to happen when I use an aftermarket USB plug vs the factory iPhone or Samsung plugs.

Female USB Connectors are 'Flaky'
I've wrestled with this since I got my '16 RX 350 w/ ML-Sound. I love using my iPod through the Nav Display. However, occasionally, the connection from the iPod through USB goes away. I've tried to find a pattern to determine a specific cause: changing cables, "slamming" the console lid, etc. The issue is exacerbated due to the odd delay and power-up sequencing for the ML Sound System to "find" the iPod as an available device.
The best that I can determine, at least in my case, the USB Jacks seem to barely make solid connections to any inserted cable. You can see this by "jiggling" the plug and seeing the connection being lost. I've considered mentioning this to the dealer when I go in for service, but I just know it will be one of those "it works just fine for us" situations. If anyone comes up with a solution that permanently remedies things, please post your magic bullet.
