Love the look.... Just a quick question: Were you able to wrap those parts in place? or did you have to remove and re-install?
It's a lot cleaner when the car is washed and a fresh coat of 303. This is after several rain and dirt accumulation. It is also possible to make it MUCH more glossy. I did it to a section I messed up on accident.
The key is to apply the glossifier when the plasti dip is still very wet. This leaves a much more smoother glossier finish. I'll be re-doing it again within a year to fix my mistakes.
Hey man. I know this is an old post. How did you prep the car for plasti-dip on the window chrome?
The stock trim has has the chrome accent in the middle with black strips on each side. Did you tape off and paint only the chrome strip in the middle or black borders as well?
sup! You have to use a combo of rubbing alcohol and water. IPA wipedown or something like that lol.
The hardest part is the prep. Newspapers or tons of plastic, they have this one thing called tape n drape at home depot that has blue tape attached. That worked wonders. Cover the whole car because you'll get overspray everywhere. You can still buff it off later but it's tedious.
watch some youtube videos by dipyourcar. I used them the most. But you pretty much use blue tape and tape up to the chrome and then spray the plasti dip and while it's still wet, you remove the blue tape.
Wipe down chrome with alcohol
Set up tape cover really well
Leave 1 inch gap
Spray 6-8 inches away
Spray 5 coats wait 20 between coats
1st coat very light dusting
2nd coat more coverage
3rd coat- cover well and pitch black
4th coat and 5th coat
Clear coat- spray further away- 5 coats
Wait 2-3 hours to dry and slowly peel off watch dip your car video
Don't forget to cover whole car and tape the camera lens emblems

I went through all 52 pages of post your RX now and couldn't find a picture of a ultra white RX dechromed lol.
If anyone has a pic, it would be much appreciated.
Pictures of after market wheels on your ultra white RX would be cool too.
