Crash test video of an 2016 RX 350 are on youtube! Although this is not tested at IIHS, Its performed at Euro NCAP which is the euro equivalent to the IIHS. I am very impressed so far of this vehicles safety compared to many of the other brands of vehicles i have been watching on youtube.
Cant wait to get my RX!

At the end of video they show the Lexus pre collision system with radar cruise control and pedestrian saftey system in action, which is excellent!

Its great to know that self braking works perfectly. This should give me some confidence to not worry about rear ending someone when traffic decides to stop like right now.

On the first video I tried to see if I could detect the safety belt pre-tensioners activating (pulling the driver back in his seat). I couldn't - maybe someone else has better eyes than me. I think the best view might be at about 1:34.

The Pre-Collision system is really awesome. With the HUD, you get a huge red box around white letters that says BRAKE!, which you can't miss. I've never let it get to the point where the car breaks for me, though

Worth mentioning, it is much better than the Infiniti system.

In what way is it better than Infiniti? The qx60 has been pretty good.

Why didn't the side curtain airbags in GLC didn't go off? Was it intentional......?
Anyway GLC and RX are not in the same class of vehicles / price point or otherwise...then why are they comparing these two vehicels...?
May be the GLC vs NX (or RX Vs GLE) would be an appropriate comparison.
Glad that RX is a very safe car....

Maby they are comparing based on price bracket. An equivalent Mercedes will cost about $10,000 more than an RX if equiped the same.
