Dashboard Rattle
Ok, I am deaf, I wear very powerful hearing aids. I had (in other thread) thought that a rattle that was intermittent had been solved with the replacement of the drivers side roof rack - it was broken. Being deaf it's hard for me to find with absolute clarity where rattles come from. So, I try to replicate them same road locations etc with others in the car. My daughter heard this rattle once my wife seems to not hear it. The road must be kind of rough and lengthy - say 10 feet or more of filled or small potholes - or cracks, etc.
Anyway, it's kind of faint and not constant - some roads that have issues no rattle, others, it's back. It never seems to repeat - that is, it rattles then goes away until a day or days later. Hence why it had gone away for time once the roof rack was replaced.
Is this a common issue - such that I could take to Lexus and they can say yes, it's this, we fixed it, or would it be one of those things (so to speak).
Thanks in advance for any tips.

No, I don't play soccer!
jaw2009, once you have an idea about where the noise is coming from, you can check the troubleshooting section in the FAQ thread that covers a few of the more common ones. Or search this forum. It's hard to say how prevalent it is since people post when they have a problem.
