Default Bluetooth audio streeaming in a 2010 RX350

Hi Guys,

Happy new year to everyone...........and happy Australia Day! (belated)

My wife has a 2010 Lexus R350. The build date for the car is actually 12 Dec 2009. We are from Melbourne Australia. The car has the factory Nav system with V20 AU maps.

According to the many reports and posts i've read on the Internet, she "should" be able to stream her music from her iphone wirelessly to the vehicle.

I have attempted to follow the guides online, in particular this great YouTube instructional video (
. He then goes on to "Menu -> Audio -> BT tab" to connect the portable player device. Again the issue we have is that my wife's car does not have the BT tab.)

What am i missing?. Is there a software upgrade or something like that I can do to get this feature going - or am i up the preverbial creek?.

Many thanks in advance guys.

Dave

Default Add Bluetooth Audio to 2010 RX350

Hi,

My RX350 came with Bluetooth calls, but not Bluetooth audio (i.e. in the multimedia section, I don't have a BT tab). Is there any way to add Bluetooth audio into the car somehow? Maybe in can be enabled somewhere? Would a Nav system update add it? It seems weird to me to have bluetooth calls but not audio, and I just bought a new phone with no AUX in it...

BT tab is missing - you do not have BT built in.
Want easy way out? Buy Knivo adapter and plug it into Aux. Done. $30 plus you got your BT streaming and actually likely better hands free phone. I have one in my Dodge RAM and as noisy as it is, they hear me just fine.

Thanks for the tip on KINIVO, looks to be the solution. Actually, my wife has same vehicle as davus, and there is Bluetooth, it works excellent for phone calls, the problem is it doesn't support all of the BT frequencies, I'm no tech guru, that's the best I can explain it, some research will give you a better insight.

However, even though this KINIVO, specifically the BTC-450, has been around for 4 or 5 years now, there still seems to be no easy purchase method for Australians, anyone find the best price, please share, thanks.

Unhappy Also here

Also available here for Australians but shipping (free) from UK. This thing has been around for 4 to 5 years now, still no bulk supplier in Aussie?
