Exclamation Looking to purchase '14 350

Hi all, I just found this site over the weekend--what a great source of information! If I am posting in the wrong section, please tell me --I am looking at a CPO 2014 Rx350. starfire pearl, light gray. 15k miles, PREMIUM PACKAGE W/BLIND SPOT MONITOR SYSTEM Seat Memory Sun/Moon Roof Sun/Moonroof, heated and ventilated front seats, roof rack, backup camera w/parking assist. Dealer price is $38,991. I used the VIN lookup from this site and it showed it was built in Canada, the original MSRP was 39,760, invoice was 37,177+925 destination fee. My question is, what would be a good offer for this? I haven't bought a car since 2004 and am quite rusty! thanks in advance for any advice!

The original MSRP had to be more than $39,760.

For your reference, I just bought a non-CPO 2015 RX 350 for $39.6k (see packages and options in my signature below).

Thanks for the response Henry. I guess the VIN decoder is incorrect. I thought that price looked low. Could it be it is showing current dealer price or is it just not a good tool to use?

With nav and AWD Kelly Blue Book has it valued at $40,300. Based on my Lexus purchasing experience if they are asking $38,991, I would start at $37,000 and be firm. The nav update just came out in October with the 2015 update. Bargain that in with the deal. If you go to Lexus.com and owners and put in the vin number it will give you all the service work done. Great time for a buyer to purchase a car. Everyone is thinking of Christmas, end of the year etc....

Okay with FWD and no nav Kelly Blue Book has it at $38,297. I would certainly try $35,000 but not pay more than $36,200. Be firm and be willing to walk out the door if you are $200 apart. They will be much more flexible at this time of the year. Where are you in SC? Check that Lexus site it gives you some great info on the maintenance history. Although only 15,000 miles will tell you if previous owner had any annoying problems. Oil should have been changed at 10,000 miles.

I'm in Greenville. Local dealer here but also can go to Columbia or Charlotte NC if deal is better I saw a bunch of posts on the 2015 thread that some dealers are charging allot for document fees. What is a fair price for that? I'll check the Lexus site for maint. history.

Well shoot! I went to grab the VIN and its no longer on the website--guess someone bought it as it was still there last night. Thank you again for your help--guess I'll be looking at a different one now.

Bought a 2015 RX450h from Lexus of Raleigh but almost bought one from Greenville. Their dealer processing fee of $189 is for sure one of the lowest. I would say the average is around $500.

The 189 fee was Raleigh or greenville?
