Advice? Rotor Problem?
I have 2011 RX AWD and noticed when driving downhill and braking , car will shake. It feels like the wheels are shaking but the steering wheel does not. Is it rotors or something else?
Also RX is certified pre owned warranty for another 30k miles and I want to do alignment on it but not sure if warranty will cover that ?

I think it is warped rotors.

Often what is called rotor warping is actually buildup of brake pad material on the rotors from a lot of easy braking. Sometimes doing several high speed hard stops in a row will heat up the pads and rotors and remove this build up. However, depending on the mileage on your vehicle, your brakes may be ready for replacement. I am not sure if a wear item like brakes is covered by any warranty as they wear so differently for different drivers and styles of braking.
Alignment has nothing to do with your shaking. It is for uneven tire wear or pulling to one side or if the steering wheel is off center. I always get an alignment with new tires.

No, I don't play soccer!
Sure sounds like rotors to me too. My 330 shook when I tried to brake for an exit after replacing the tires.. The dealer wound up replacing the rotors because they were defective. It was covered under warranty. I only had about 16K miles on the odometer at the time. And see if your dealer will do a free alignment check. It might not be needed. Good luck.

+1 with Clutchless. Is there any vibration in the brake pedal when you brake? Definitely have the brakes checked out and have the rotors turned if there is any life left on them. Or you can just get all new rotors and pads. When you check the brakes, make sure nothing is loose - rotors, pads, or even the wheel.

Hi I don't own a Lexus but when I brake my steering wheel shakes I feel it in the brake pedal, also it feels like its releasing and unreleasing. Like a stop start brake... Any ideas I'm think the rotars and pads but they look fairly new but the rotars are scored on the outside

Rotors. I had service at 25k and 60k. Replaced rotors at 60k. Im in FL, its either the brakes are too small for the weight of this car or something other...but at my dealer rotor warping on rx's is common.

Huge article explaining Clutchless's suggestion:

There's an outside chance that you have a delaminated tire, as well.
