New tires and brakes on a 2013 CPO RX350... too good to be true?
I have noticed few CPOs come with new tires and brakes. Let's face it, if a dealer can get away without the additional cost, they will! I found one at approximately 45,000 miles with new brake pads, rotors, and tires. From the carfax:
"Four wheel alignment performed
Four tires balanced
Four tires mounted and balanced
Front brake rotor(s) replaced
Front brake pads replaced
Rear brake pads replaced
Rear brake rotor(s) replaced
Tire(s) replaced"
When I ask is this too good to be true, what I mean is would this suggest something about this particular vehicle tends to wear out the brakes and tires? Something to be concerned about or a virtue since tires and brakes are pretty pricey and would be needed at some point anyway. Thanks!

Not unusual. For a car to be certified the tires and brake linings must meet minimum measurments. Also battery is load tested. If either of the above don't meet requirements they need to be replaced.
I just traded in my CT200h with 24,000 miles. Last time I had the tires balanced and rotated about 3 months ago at a tire place they measured 50% remaining tread. 3 months later Lexus replaced the tires and 12 volt battery in order to certify it. I never had an issue with the battery.

The norm is when replacing brake pads to turn rotors. Before turning them they measure them to make sure they have enough "meat" and can be turned and still be at the legal minimum safe working thickness.
