Akebono brake pads vs Lexus OEM
I need front brake pads replacement. Called up Akebono and came to know they manufacture Lexus OE brake pads for RX 350. They gave me a after market part no. ACT1324 for my 2010 RS 350. Equivalent Lexus OEM part number is O44650E010 or #044650E010. Can someone suggest whats better? Are these two exactly the same. Whats the drawback if i use ACT1324 istead of Lexus OEM part?

I would buy OEM pads from discounttoyotaparts.com for $50+s/h and call it a day:

I bought a ton of parts from them when I did maintenance on my IS300.

I had used the akebono pads on my sc400. While I find it to be the most comfortable and quietest pads it does not stop well. Stopping performance is average so I would definitely stick with oem pads.
