Best replacement battery

Exide AGM 24F. IMO

I have two of these. I won't buy a non-AGM battery. I bought mine from Amazon since I couldn't find one locally. No issues with shipping/packaging (besides it's free shipping) and the manufactured date on the battery was current/recent.

"Best replacement battery" is a somewhat nebulous concept. What is best for you might not be the best for my needs. The best battery may be the one where it is easiest to deal with the company regarding any warranty replacement issues. Do you plan on replacing the battery yourself or will you have it installed by a shop?

If you replace your own batteries I might suggest you get on a four year replacement plan. Just replace them before they start giving you problems. Batteries usually do not last much longer than that though I have seen them go much longer. With that in mind you can go to the local Walmart and purchase one of their EverStart Maxx. They seem to have a good rating with Consumer Reports and are supposedly made by Johnson Controls. I would make copies of your receipt(s) for any purchase and keep in the vehicle at all time as needed for warranty replacements. Easy to get a bad battery.
If you are going to have a shop install then I would perhaps look for a shop to install an Interstate battery. I believe the Firestone Complete Auto Care shops install them. They seem to hold up well over time. Another would be to go to Costco if you have a card and use their brand.
