Replaced my 2010 RX350 with a 2013 MY
December to Remember event indeed!!
My 2010 was an Ultra Premium 2 model and replaced with the same version but 2013 with 22 kms on the odo. Brand spankin' new Black-on-Black this time. Wife already said the feel is better during the drive home. A few welcome differences between the 2010 and 2013. Either way, wife is happy...therefore I am too!
Dealer mentioned that the rear entertainment system (dual dvd screen) is being discontinued in 2014 coz it wasnt selling. Really??

check with the gas milage thread.. it's one of the three sticky threads up there.
i posted 2 separate mpg for my 2013.
i know it's the same engine, but somehow the 2013 is more fuel efficient vs my 2011.
i like the NEWer navi interface too.

Congrats. I like the new front end and LED DRL's on the '13 compared to my '12. It is nice to use regular instead of premium. Happy Thanksgiving to all over here South of your Border.

TorontoRX,
Congrats on the upgrade. I just made a similar upgrade going from a 2010 to the 2014 (which is basically the 2013 with Siri Eyes).
I have noted the following differences between my 2010 and 2014:
1) The car does seem to handle better/firm. I actually had them move my tires from my 2010 to the new vehicle, so it isn't a difference due to tires.
2) I seem to be getting better milage, but it is too early to say for sure.
3) The car is quieter. I am guessing some of this is due to the fact it doesn't have 80k miles. I did hear they made some improvements to the seals.
4) I like the Blind Spot monitor and some of the Enfrom apps.
5) The cargo cover doesn't cover the whole back area. I don't know if I like this.
6) Some of the voice commands have been taken away. For example, you can't say Destinations-> Previous Destinations, or Destinations-> Address Book. I used to use these a lot. On the plus side, I can get to these options via the Mouse while the car is moving. I would still prefer to use the voice commands for these though.
7) The center console storage has been changed. Overall it is a little better. I like that a USB port is now accessible to the passenger, without taking out everything in the console.

dmccombs,
Thanks and congrats to you as well. great observations and I will add to that as well.
1) in our 2010, we had the camera underneath the right side mirror. handy for parallel parking especially for the wife. it is gone now and she wasnt too happy about that.
2) seats of our 2013 are a lot firmer (better) and holds you in place better than the 2010 that didnt hug you at all. leather quality is the same impeccable quality and stitching. we now have black leather so no visible transfer of jeans color anymore.
3) driving feel is a def a lot tighter....again maybe coz it also doesnt have 90K kms on the odo like what you said.
4) we havent tried out the dvd screens in back yet as the dealer still owes us the remote and the headsets.
I'm sure like you, I am looking forward to adding the miles on this new baby. Happy holidays!!
