10' RX350 Oil Leak
Hello All,
Just wanted to post something that happened with our leased 2010 RX350 with about 30k
I noticed oil on the ground under the RX and rolled underneath to see oil all over the side of the oil pan dripping down.
I checked the oil level and we brought it to the dealer the next day and they had it for four days..
This Car has had all its maintenance done through the Lexus Dealer, they said it was a rare issue. Had this car been out of warranty this would have been an costly repair.

Vehicles leaking oil from the Engine Front Area. From Mid/Top Section of Engine Block oil trail can be observed running down to lower oil pan section. After removing AC Compressor and Alternator Confirm leak is from where the Front oil Bypass Pipes contacts engine block. (Open #TA CASE) Pipe and Gasket for oil bypass pipe porous and leaking. SOP Part and replace oil bypass pipe with gaskets.

Indeed rare. Sounds like the gasket was the problem which in itself is not expensive, but all the diagnosing and labor to get to it and replace it, well, that's where the big bucks lie. Glad it was handled without issue to you.
